Our Core Value Proposition

Cross-border insurance for Israel and the West Bank

Standard Israeli rental insurance policies are typically voided in Palestinian Authority-controlled territory. Dallah's insurance is arranged for travel across Areas A, B, and C. Speak with our team to confirm coverage for your specific routes.

The problem with standard Israeli car rental insurance

Every major franchise car rental company in Israel — Hertz, Avis, Budget, Eldan, and others — explicitly excludes coverage in Palestinian Authority areas (Areas A and B) in their insurance policy terms. If you have an accident in Ramallah, Bethlehem, or any other Area A city, you are uninsured. This is not a small-print detail. It is a fundamental liability that affects every international professional operating in the region.

Understanding the West Bank's Three Zones

The Oslo Accords divided the West Bank into three administrative zones. Each has different governance implications — and different consequences for your car insurance.

Area A
18% of West Bank

Full Palestinian Authority Control

Both civil and security control rests entirely with the Palestinian Authority. Cities include Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, Jericho, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, and Bethlehem. Standard Israeli rental insurance is voided the moment a vehicle enters Area A.

Dallah Coverage: Dallah insurance is arranged for travel in Area A. Speak with our team to confirm coverage for your specific routes.
Area B
22% of West Bank

Palestinian Authority Civil / Israeli Security Control

Palestinian Authority administers civilian matters while Israel retains overall security control. Most rural villages in the West Bank fall in Area B. Standard Israeli rental insurance is typically voided in Area B.

Dallah Coverage: Dallah insurance is arranged for travel in Area B. Speak with our team to confirm coverage for your specific routes.
Area C
60% of West Bank

Full Israeli Military and Civil Control

The largest zone, under full Israeli administration. Includes Israeli settlements, military installations, and most of the West Bank's open land. Standard Israeli insurance is valid here.

Dallah Coverage: Standard insurance arranged for Area C. Speak with our team to confirm coverage details.

What this means in practice

For field workers, journalists, and diplomats crossing daily checkpoints.

Qalandia Checkpoint

One of the busiest crossing points between Jerusalem and Ramallah. You cross from Israeli-controlled East Jerusalem into Area A. With Dallah, you're covered from the moment you cross.

Allenby Bridge / King Hussein

The main crossing from Jordan into the West Bank. If you're collecting a vehicle or transiting, Dallah's insurance remains valid throughout.

Bethlehem Checkpoint

Bethlehem is Area A. For journalists, NGOs, and pilgrimage organisers, crossing here daily is common. Our insurance doesn't change at the gate.

Ramallah City Centre

The Palestinian Authority's administrative capital is full Area A. Embassy staff and UN personnel working here need real coverage — Dallah provides it.
